So the Cowboys team is gearing up. We’ve put together videos, look-books and much, much more.
- A pitch
- A short video explaining the project
- A directing reel
- A look book
- A pitch
- A business plan
- A talking parrot to pitch the film*
I thought I’d take some time to elucidate what all that gobbledygook means .
As we have the good fortune of having a little bit of a budget already for our film, we’re pushing to find other passionate people to help us keep the momentum going.
In order to do that you have to sell your project in many ways. Making a Movie isn’t just an art, it’s a craft. And part of that craft is honing how you talk about your film.
We’ve been living with this film for the past 2 years (at least) and we’ve gone through a lot with the process. Most of it has been refining the script, now we have to talk about how we envision it (the look book), how we plan to sell it (the business plan) and training that pesky parrot to squawk out “Cowboys versus Indians!”
But in all seriousness, we’re excited to talk to people starting Sunday!
* Parrot not pictured, that’s just our friend the Poncey Peacock
